Cub county hike, April 5 2025

Destination: Torc Mountain, Kerry
Date: Saturday, April 5
Start: Meet at 8.40 am at Frankfield RC Church, busses will leave at 9am sharp
Finish: Around 4 pm at Frankfield RC Church

Please park on the right-hand side when dropping and collecting to leave left-hand side free for the busses

Route:

  • About 13km, with roughly 560m altitude gain (there’s the option for tired cubs to skip the actual ascent of Torc, that would reduce the distance to about 8.5km)
  • Largely on forest tracks and boardwalks, some open ground might be encountered too.
  • Route can be found here.

Note:

  • Ensure your child had a good breakfast
  • We will do a quick gear check before leaving the car park – please don’t leave before this is done!
  • We expect to be back at Frankfield RC Church at around 4pm, updates via WhatsApp
