Annual registration fee
Note: Following a €9 increase in the registration fees announced by Scouting Ireland on May 28, 2026, our registration fees had to increase accordingly.
Our current annual (September – August) registration fee is €205/child.
Discounts are available for families with more than one child in the group:
- 16% for the 2nd child
- 20% for the 3rd child, …
To avail of the discounted fees, you must pay for all your children in one transaction.

What does the annual registration fee cover?
- Scouting Ireland membership fee (currently €100/child)
- Group insurance
- Heating the Scout hall
- Repairs to the Scout hall
- Purchase and repair of gear such as tents, stoves, etc.
All of our scouters are volunteers – none are paid for their service.
Payments
Payments can only be made using Payzone. Cash, cheques etc can not be accepted. Please consult with your child’s section leader should you have any questions.
If you are experiencing any difficulty in paying this fee, please contact our treasurer (finance@douglasscouts.ie) in strict confidence and we will work out a suitable arrangement.
