Please fill out this form &amp; return it at any of the camp meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/SIF-11A-10-Managing-Medications-Form-DSF.pdf\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"308\">Managing Medication Form<\/a> &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>This is required for anyone who will be taking medications while we&#8217;re away.&nbsp; It needs to be filled in, even if your child will be managing the medication themselves.&nbsp; If this doesn&#8217;t apply, you need not return this form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gear list<\/strong><br>Things you will need are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC): <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.hse.ie\/services\/schemes-allowances\/ehic\/apply\/\">https:\/\/www2.hse.ie\/services\/schemes-allowances\/ehic\/apply\/<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/uniform\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"100\">Full Uniform<\/a> &#8211; We will depart in full uniform.&nbsp; <strong>No exceptions!<\/strong>&nbsp; Now is a great time to check that you have all parts of your uniform. Uniforms can be purchased online only &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/thescoutshop.ie\/collections\/scouts\">https:\/\/thescoutshop.ie\/collections\/scouts<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/uniform\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"100\">Spare neckerchief<\/a> &#8211; Not essential, useful as a spare, or for swapping.&nbsp; (You must always have a Douglas \/ St. Fin Barre&#8217;s neckerchief, so if you\u2019ve only one with you, then you can\u2019t swap it if the opportunity should arise).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/hiking-boots\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"315\">Hiking boots<\/a> will be necessary.  (It is <strong>vital<\/strong> to \u201cwear in\u201d hiking boots. &nbsp;If you need to or choose to buy new boots, you <strong>must<\/strong> have them \u201cworn in\u201d before camp or you\u2019ll be <strong>very<\/strong> uncomfortable in them!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water bottle \u2013 At least 1 litre \u2013 possible 2 x 500ml\u2019s would be a good idea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/sleeping-bags\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"239\">Sleeping Bag<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>\u2013 The sleeping bag is a must! You will need it!<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Inflatable) Pillow (if you like)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ground mat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracksuits\/Leggings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warm Sweater<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>T-Shirts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes of Underwear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plenty of Socks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warm Nightwear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change of Shoes or Runners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shorts &amp; Trousers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raingear \u2013 Waterproof Jacket &amp; Trousers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warm Hat &amp; Gloves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash Gear \u2013 Toothbrush &amp; paste, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Comb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Towel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swimwear &amp; hat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tea-Towel &amp; Dish Cloth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sun hat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sun cream &amp; lip salve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/test.apeoconsulting.com\/headlights-torches\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"236\">Torch<\/a> &amp; spare batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rucksack or similar type hold all<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Day trip bag<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sunglasses&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>(Nothing expensive please!)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Walking Socks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/#tick-born-encephalitis\">Insect repellent<\/a> (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activities during camp<\/strong><br>Activities during camp are going to be varied and will include a mix of rope, water and ground activities. We have engaged with Crawfordsburn on a daily programme. We will of course have our own self lead activities including patrol hikes and of course a big day out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Clothes washing<\/strong><br>There are <strong>no clothes washing facilities at the campsite<\/strong>. As far as we know, there are no launderette facilities nearby \u2013 so either have enough of clothes for the duration or be prepared to do a hand wash yourself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Money<\/strong><br>All travel, meals, activities, admissions etc. are included in the camp fee. Spending money will only be needed for presents or souvenirs.<br><br>We operate a camp bank during our summer camps. All youth members will hand up their spending money before we head away. Spending money <strong>must be in Sterling (\u00a3)<\/strong>. Over the course of camp the Scouts and Ventures will be allocated their own money during days out &amp; when deemed necessary.<br>This is to ensure a) Scouts &amp; Venture Scouts don\u2019t loose their money and b) Scouts &amp; Venture Scouts don\u2019t spend it all at once!<br>This service is not optional and all youth members must hand up their spending money in advance at one of the pre-camp meetings (these will take effect in late May\/early June). The spending money <strong>must be in Sterling<\/strong>. We will not take Euro currency as spending money.<br><br><strong>Expensive items and electronic devices<\/strong><br>We are camping for the 2 weeks; There are&nbsp;<strong>NO charging facilities<\/strong> in Crawforsburn.&nbsp;We are in a camping field.<br>There will NOT be an opportunity to plug a mobile phone in while we are onsite.<br>If a Scout or Venture Scout brings a mobile phone\/iPad or other mobile device with them on camp please note the following: The Group takes&nbsp;<strong>NO&nbsp;<\/strong>responsibility for any loss or damage caused to a device while we are travelling, while we are away onsite or on an activity.
